Giora Hadar is a knowledge architect at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He

 has been working in knowledge management (KM) since 1994 and in his current position since 1999. In late 2009, Giora authored a Web 2.0 (collaboration and social media) strategy for the FAA and is currently studying various alternatives for cloud computing. He is an in-house consultant and is also consults to

other government agencies in his area of expertise.

Giora represented the FAA at the IBM Institute for Knowledge Management from 1999 to 2003. He served as the co-chair of the Federal KM Working Group from January 2002 through January 2004 and again January 2007 through April 2008. He has been on the board of directors of the annual e-Gov KM Conference since 2003. Giora is an invited speaker in numerous KM conferences and workshops in the US and abroad. Having

been in the federal service since 1980, Giora joined the FAA in 1988; he holds a bachelor’s degree in

architecture and is a licensed architect in the State of Maryland.
